Serving
Hi,
I usually have a problem serving towards my opponent's forehand side (assuming both of us are right-handed). The natural pendulum serve tends to go towards his backhand side and becomes extremely awkward when I try to direct it towards the forehand. The primary problem is that I'm not able to complete the action and have to abruptly stop so that it doesn't head towards the backhand side. I believe I'm doing it all wrong. So I wanted to know the changes to be made in order to get a smooth action.
Thanks a lot!
Hi Viki,
First take a small step towards your forehand side to make the serve. So you will be a little inside the side line.
Then hit the ball flatter to get it down the line. If you hit ti with sidespin it will tend to curve to the backhand side.
