Hi Samartha,

The key to the reverse spin serve is to contact the ball on the outside of the ball.  Think about starting with your bat near your right hip and then finishing with it pointing at the far net post.

Also take a look at this previous question on How do I get feeling in the Reverse Pendulum Serve?

To receive a good spin serve you need to understand a few principles.  Some of them are to watch the contact of the ball on the serve and to watch closely the flight of the ball.  Then use the angle of your bat to steer the ball back onto the table.  If the ball goes off to your left, then angle your bat so that it faces the right.

We have a course on this as part of our lessons.  Take a look at what is available in our Receiving Secrets course.

The Float Serve

The float or no spin serve is an effective tool to have in your bag of serves. It adds good variation to your serves and can often set you up with an easy 3rd ball opportunity.
