Strategy
I was wondering, when you play against LP players, do you adjust your serve (for example, by doing spinless serves)?
Hi Ji-Soo,
What I find best is to serve with either no spin or even better backspin. This gives me a topspin return that is easier to attack.
If you try to put too much sidespin on the serves you get a wobbly return that may be hard to deal with.
You still need to think about placement and stopping the LP player from attacking.
A chopper likes to get back from the table and get into a nice rhythm. If you keep the defender close to the table in the early part of the rally, it's hard for them to transition back into their chopping position. So keep the ball short on your serve and try and catch them unprepared. Watch the video to find out more great tactics to use against a defensive chopper.
