In one of the recent club tournaments in India, I faced a serve which was accelerating after its second bounce. That was the reason I was missing on timing while returning the serve. I would like to know -

1. How to do this serve? I would like to learn to serve like this.

2. Ideal approach to receive such serve.

Hi Amol,

It wouldn't be accelerating on the second bounce but may be moving more forward than you are expecting which will give that illusion.  The best way to deal with this serve is to watch the ball very carefully and block or attack the ball as it will have topspin on it.

In our tutorial on Pendulum Serve we show you how to generate topspin on the serve.  Basically you need to think about brushing up the back of the ball to generate the topspin.
