Serving
what is the secret to a good serve?
Hi Jacky,
The secret to a good serve is to concentrate on 2 things. Spin and placement.
To generate spin you need to brush the ball finely and fast. While this may sound easy the key is to practice this skill for hours. It is a very fine skill so requires a lot of practice before you can use it in a match.
Placement of the ball is vital for serving as well. Have a look at our video lesson on the placement of the serve.
Serving with spin will be the topic of one of our Coaching videos that will be released in the first half of 2008. Watch out for it. You can access lots of helpful coaching videos on our lessons page.
