hii,

My question is very simple.Could you please explain me why are these new rubber technologies(such as Tenergy,Acuda S 1 Turbo,Joole explode etc...)not so durable?(not spinny, slower,NOT GRIPPY)
I played with each rubber and the maximum time they can stand is about 1 month, despite the old rubbers technologies which i played for almost a year.

Hi Miodrag,

This is because they are Tensor rubbers.  That means the rubber is stretched.  When it is stretched it is already under pressure so then when you are hitting it with the ball it will wear more quickly.

I have looked at many videos to find out how to enhance your grit on your paddle and I've found one video that look like it would work. The video showed someone brushing a paddle with a medium brush using sunflower oil. Will that work to enhance your paddle and make it gripper?

You can try these things but I don't recommend it. It is technically illegal as you are not allowed to modify the rubber. Also I think that if your rubber has worn out then you are better off getting a new rubber. I believe this will be much more beneficial than any efforts to revive the old one. I know it can be quite an expense but Table Tennis is still a relatively cheap sport and there is more and more competition with online stores bringing the prices down all the time.

If you are really serious about your Table Tennis then I recommend changing your rubbers when they wear out.

Do you think that the laser killerspin paddle is any better then the butterfly paddles?

Hi Joel,

They are just different.  They are both good quality equipment.
