Hi Ravjol,

You should clean your rubber with water.  There is no reason not to.  It is an effective way.

Ravjol,

You can buy rubber cleaners to clean your rubber's. But remember to buy a rubber cleaning sponge when you buy the rubber cleaner. Also when you buy the cleaner and sponge, buy rubber protection sheet that you put on after you clean your rubber's. That way they will last a lot longer.

Rubber cleaners aren't worth buying when water will do the same thing. Cheers

I think you might have heard some rumour about water being harmful to table tennis rubber. It actually is not depending on how you clean your rubber. The best way to do it is to wet your palm with water and wipe across the rubber to the top or the side of your paddle. Another way is dropping 4-5 tiny drop of water to the rubber and wipe it out with your palm. Dry it with moisture wicking clothes (recommended) until rubber is very dry. Keep it out for around 15 minutes from my experience just in case it is still a little bit wet, then put it in your case.
