I am an intermediate player. I am offensive in my forehand and defensive in my backhand. My coach suggested me to buy a new bat. He gave me these options:

pimples, anti rubber, friendship, yasaka and the like.

Which bat is recommended? My backhand is weaker than my forehand.I want a very offensive rubber in my forehand and a slightly defensive rubber in my backhand?

Which rubbers do you recommend?

Thanks

Hi Hans,

Have a look at the different rubbers available. There are plenty of options.

For your forehand I would recommend something like Mark V or Joola Tango. You don't want anything too fast but something that will let you generate some spin. On the backhand you probably want something a little slower again. Perhaps RITC Friendship which is a lttle slower but will give you good control and let you play with a lot of spin.

Remember though there are hundreds of choices. Look at the ratings. Something in th emid range for speed on the forehand and something a little slower for your backhand.

We can access these for you if you like. Use the Contact Us page if you want some more information.

Choosing a Table Tennis Bat

Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.

hi, a quick one. just thought that i\'d recommend some rubbers for you. for your forehand, if you want something offensive with control, tackifire-c is a great choice. (though the sponge\'s kinda hard) you could go for the soft one. dhs tg3 skyline is also great for forehand offense. your backhand could go for something like yasaka zap or maybe a 729 rubber.
