Reverse Pendulum going too far

When I try the reverse pendulum I always hit it to the opponents side without getting in mine first and help please?

Hi Joe,

Get the action of the swing to come down rather than forward.  Stat the swing a little higher as well so that you are more on top of the ball and hitting it downwards.
