Hi Alois and Jeff,

My friend always serves a fast and spinny ball but I can't return his serve.  What should I do to return his fast and spinny serve?

Hi Alvin,

If the ball is long then you should try to topspin the serve.  Wait for the ball to come to you and then use a topspin stroke taking into account the type and amount of spin.

For our Premium members we do have a previous Ask the Coach video response, Long, fast serve with lot of back spin.

Then you can push it back.  Keep your hand relaxed to absorb the speed and spin.
