Returning backspin and sidespin serves

hi,

how can i return a serve that has both sidespin and backspin?

because if i am choping the ball it goes very high but if i try to flick or attack the ball then the ball goes into the net, so what can i do?

Hi David,

It is about getting the angle of your bat right.   If the ball is going too high on the push it may be that you are not brushing the ball on the contact.  If you hit this ball flat and up the ball will go high.  On the flick you can also just brush the ball with a bit of topspin to lift it over the net rather than hitting it too flat.  This will counteract the spin a little and get the ball over.
