Hi Coach,

Thanks for your all precious advice you gave to me, really your advice works. I have one more problem while returning backspin serve. One of my friend serve a unique backspin serve, not too much backspin, a little backspin is there. when at receiver end if i push, it goes down immediatly as soon as it touches the bat, i tried with pushes with loose wrist but when it touches the blade it goes down. i return this serve with moving bat little upward but it give return too much height and invites a smash from server side. Plz advice.

Thanks in advance

Hi Trilochan,

It sounds like there really is a lot of backspin on this serve.  Sometimes the amount of spin  on a serve can be very ddeceptive.  The reaction from your bat gives you all the information you need.  Because it is going down so sharply it probably has a lot of backspin.

Try brushing under this return.  So use a push with a bit of your own backspin.  This will give the ball better direction and counter some of the spin on the ball already.
