Hi Inderpal,

There are two main ways.  You can use the Backhand Push or you can use the Forehand Topspin Off Backspin.

Forehand Topspin Variations

A great weapon is being able to vary the amount of speed and spin on your forehand topspin stroke. By making your stroke more vertical and brushing the ball finely, you can generate more spin. For more speed you need to swing more horizontally.

Hi Alois,
What about returning it with chopping back?

Yes you can chop it but a chop usually doesn't come through very far so a push is how we describe the backspin stroke that you play.  Just a matter of terms.
