Please give some tips regarding easy and effective way to return superfast spinny long corner / wide serves for both forehand and backhand sides. In my case I often find it difficult to even contact the ball with bat because of the superfast nature of the services.
Hi Ashoke,
The first thing is to find a comfortable position across the table, where you are covering both corners with similar effectiveness. This will vary depending on where you open tis serving from and the type of serve they are doing.
Then focus on the ball from the time it is in your opponent's hand for the serve. This will give you the best opportunity to pick up the direction of the serve.
If the serve is coming fast don't try to do too much with the return. Work on getting your racket behind the ball as quickly as you can and then alter the angle of the racket depending on the serve.
