Strokes
Hi,
I have seen your video on how to block a topspin. After watching your video and a good amount of practise, I was able to to block most of my opponent topspin (not heavy) to my forehand. But I'm unable to block neither heavy topspin nor a loop. In case of heavy topspin the ball just goes into the net even when i try to change the bat angle. In case of loop the ball goes out the table. I use spectol 21 on my fh. Can you please help me figure out to play such balls and also can you please post some training video using pips out rubber so that player like me who use short pips can benefit from your advice.
Hi Lokeswaran,
Take a look at the lesson on how to Counter a Slow Spinny Topspin. With the short pips the best thing is to use the Punch or block shot.
We have started to do a lesson on playing with short pips. It should be available soon.

Hi ,
I got a Butterfly Zhang Jike Super ZLC and a rubber: Stiga Calibra LT Sound,
Speed: 94
Spin: 93
Control: 71
Hardness: Soft
I am having some problems with blocking, any advice?
thanks in advance.
Hi Adib,
Do you feel like the ball is coming off the rubber too fast? If so relax your hand and try to feel the ball on the block more. If the ball is going off the end of the table you can also try to angle your bat down a little.
