Hi Alos,

I have been playing TT since 5 yrs and now a days felt routine in my play, so starting watching your videos in PingSkills to enhance my skills and proficiency level, it was very helpful to know that much about basics and differences in serves, returns.

Please help how to receive the low height serves near the net, high lobs near the net for the short people and best places to return the ball when comes to side of the TT board.

Hi Raghavender,

If they serve low and close to the net, it is best to use a Push stroke.  This will give you a bit of control.  You can use the push to get the ball short or long back to their side.  Short is often good so that they can't return the ball with a strong shot.

If the ball is high near the net you should step around the side of the table and play a strong topspin or smash.

If the ball comes wide to you then you can return the ball even wider to them  But also think about returning it down the line because they will be waiting for the wide ball.
