Hi!

I'm having trouble with the weight of my racket and I would like to know what is the difference between choose a lighter blade and choose a thinner rubber. I'm now using Primorac Carbon and 2 Xiom Sigma Europe 2.2.

Thank you very much

Hi Ton,

The weight of the racket is a personal preference.

A thinner rubber will give you less spin and speed.  The lighter blade speed will depend on the type of wood in the blade.  The weight isn't the critical factor in the speed of the blade.

they said that hard rubber will give more power because of the mass and light blade give you more speed movement so that we can have a lot of spin by move the bat faster. is it true sir alois ? (i know this from sir brett)

Hi Frendy,

There are advantages of using both heavy and light.  Just see which feels more comfortable for you.

i just got information about this

The weight of the blade itself can be a factor. Lighter blades can usually be swung more quickly, but heavier blades have more mass to use when hitting the ball. In physics terms, momentum is equal to mass multiplied by velocity, so you should look for the heaviest blade that you can still swing comfortably and quickly - this should give you the best speed when hitting the ball.

what do you think about it ?

Hi Frendy,

I think people focus too much on equipment. As long as you have a decent bat and change your rubbers when they wear out, you are far better spending your time working on improving your technique than worrying about whether your bat should be slightly lighter or slightly heavier.

ok, just because i don't have any partner to training and still searching for a club. that's why i'm focus on my equipment first before i get a club and ready to play...

thank you for the advice ^^
