Pushing with fast rubber

After playing for a year with a premade bat I couldn't lift the ball and I decided to try a fast rubber on the forehand. When I play with the rubber a simple block or simple push makes it go out of the table. What should I do?

Hi,

Allow yourself time to adjust to the new faster rubber.  Keep hitting a lot of balls with good control and you will start to get a feel for the rubber and how hard you need to hit the ball and what angles you need to have your bat at as well.
