Problem with wide pushed balls

Strokes

Last days I'm having trouble with the 3rd ball, I think I have a solid topspin off push, if someone push me a ball in a easy spot where i dont need to move too much Im consistent, but some ppl have a neutral push where in the last moment they change the direction with the wrist, to deep and wide forehand or deep and wide backhand, then im very inconsistent because I feel I have not time and a lot of times I move before they hit cause i think I know where the ball is going to go... and then they change the direction, how could i solve this? I feel solving this problem I could finally attack all long balls, but with this tactic Im just unable to do it, I know you will tell me to do some drill practicing this, but i feel it's more about reflexes or i dont know.., and do you think I can do something out of the table to help to solve this?

Thank you in advance!

Hi Francisco,

It sounds like you need to watch the ball more closely.  By focusing on the ball you will pick up the direction a bit earlier.  This will give you more time to react.  It could be as easy as this to improving your 3rd Ball.  Give it a try and let me know how it works.
