Training
Hi Alois, I am practicing my slow forehand topspin and the problem is that I feel bored after practicing it like 5 minutes and then I feel like speeding up after 20 balls in multiball and they go in: but after the speeding up, in 10 minutes it got inconsistent again, so how can I be confident and how long should I practice the slow stroke?
Hi Pasquale,
Practice it as long as you can. The more times you can practice the stroke the better you will get at it.
I know sometimes the slower strokes can get boring but if you understand that they are important for you to improve then it makes the practice more interesting.
Set yourself some goals as to how many strokes you can get on in a row.
In this session we focus on your consistency when playing combinations of backhands and forehands. Several routines in this training session make you constantly switch between a backhand and a forehand. If you can improve your consistency on these combinations it will really help you in a real game since your opponent will often be changing where they hit the ball.

I often train against a chopper. He told me what really kills choppers is varying a fast and a slow topspin. So I try this and believe me, it isn't boring!
