i use handshake grip. when i start playing the game my fore finger moves a bit upward which i usually use to give direction to the ball when playing with forehand. while playing backhand i use my thumb to give direction to the ball. Can i continue with this kind of playing or change to standard handshake grip.

Hi Vinod,

You can move your fingers a little while playing but it is best to have a fairly standard grip.  When the ball comes quickly it is hard to change your grip in time to adjust if you have different grips for the two sides.
