what should be the position of thumb while doing rally??

when i do rally (during backhand) my thumb moves up towards the rubber and i feel difficult to play forehand ..

what shoeld i do??

Hi Yashant,

Try to keep the thumb in the same position through the rally.  This will allow you to change quickly between forehand and backhand.

i also have a problem that my thumb has to be on the rubber when i do backhand, but down on the top of the handle when i do forehands. so when i switch between the two my thumb is sliding up and down constantly. but i find it too uncomfortable and awkward to keep it in the same place with both wings. my coach always said this doesnt matter, do you agree.
