Hi Sir,

What would be the best position to play forehand topspin against backspin. I mean the time when you contact the ball.

I am normally making contact when the ball is horizontally parallel to my body it works with a success percentage of < 75. I find some people play good topspin @ 45 degree angle diagonally.

What is the appropriate angle between the body and ball for the topspin against backspin.

Hi,

The ball can be in front of your body.  This is the hitting position for all of your shots.  Your shoulders can turn so that the ball is always in front of you.

If you think about where you would catch the ball if it is thrown to you, this is a good position to hit the ball for all of your shots.  Then it is a matter of getting your body into that position no matter where the ball is to make the most effective shot.
