Hi sir,

This is sandeep.

I was in a club league tournament yesterday.

I am 14 and had to play with 2 lefthanders in their late 20's.

I got confused by the serves spin and their forehands spin as they were vice versa of a right handers.

They are able to execute more power in their shots.

How to overcome these problems ?

Thank you!

Sandeep.

Hi Sandeep,

Playing against left handers gets easier the more you do it.  Think about where their strengths are and remember their forehand is on the other side.

It may also just be awkward to receive the serves as they are coming from a different angle.  Again this will get better with practice.

One thing that you may be able to exploit is to play your backhand wide to their forehand corner.

Each left hander is different though and you need to think about each one differently.
