Playing against anti spin

Strategy

I read that if I put topspin on the ball the anti rubber would give it back as backspin.  When I topspin does the return spin changes depending on whether  the opponent block it or the opponent chop it. Or in both  cases  does the return spin is backspin.

I am playing with a long pimple in my backhand side.

When I push from long pimple, for the push from anti spin rubber the ball pops up. Do I have to attack the push of anti spin? What sort of tactics can I use against anti spin player.

Hi Praveen,

If they chop the ball with a quick motion it can give you back a little more backspin.  It isn’t a great deal more though as there is little friction on the anti spin surface.

With your long pimples you can attack the anti spin push if you want to because it has no spin on it.  Hit flat and straight through the ball.  It is a risky stroke because with the long pimples you can’t generate much topspin.
