Hi Alois,
I know a guy who plays very well, he attacks absolutely everything. His attacks are very powerful and almost no spin. Even if there is a lot of chop in my ball, he attacks it. He never misses ... How should I play him?
Hi Yoan,
The best form of defence is attack.
Try to keep the ball short enough so that he can’t attack and take every opportunity to make the first attack at him. Often these type of players have a less effective defence so that is an areas that you can exploit.

When playing penhold players it is important to remember to first analyse your opponent as you would if they used any grip. What are their strengths and weaknesses? A common weakness of penhold players is their forehand block especially against a slow spinny topspin. Their backhand may be a weakness if they use the traditional style, or you may wish to explore the crossover point if they are using the reverse penhold backhand.
