Hi sir,

I wanted to know that how can I play against a phantom rubber.I have the basic idea of playing against a phantom that is by playing a counter and a push but we have a phantom player who has suddenly started giving ample amount of pressure on the ball and it has been very difficult for me to receive the ball.

And also when we were playing in the morning, we were playing a best of 3 match I defeated her 2-0 but in the evening we again played a best of 3 match but I lost 2-0, can you please tell me why this happened ?

Hi Uditi,

If she is playing with more speed, slow the ball down.  It is hard to generate speed with the Phantom.  So if you don’t give her speed you will have more time.

Changes in results can happen often.  It could be just one or two points that change that make the difference.  Think about what was different in the second match.  Was she doing something different tactically?

Thank you for your advice.And yes she was hitting the ball hard with her phantom when I countered the ball.The ball would fall on the base line
