Penhold grip is in extinction

Hi Alois and Pingskills

Why the penhold grip is disappearing? in the international level just we can see shakehand players...Why?

Besides i want to improve my recieving serves, how i can do this?

Hi Cristh,

I think it made a bit of a comeback when the RPB came in.  I think just all the Europeans play with shakehand.  I don't think it will die.  What do you think?

Hi Alois

i think that the penhold grip is more effective, i think that the forehand has more variations and with the RPB you don't need an incredible footwork to has an effective attack.

Hello. All I can see is that the main limitation to all players is the footwork, and using the two sides of the racket seems to give an advantage over using only one side. Nevertheless I still have a lot of fun playing j-pen. I think other players feel more challenged by a guy using a "handicapped" racket.
