Hey Alois,

Just been wondering on your thoughts whether you think it's better to have your fingers flat or curled up using the Penhold Grip.

Seems the top penhold players usually have their fingers flat, probably for rpb. my fingers are curled at the moment. Worth changing grip?

p.s does it help with forehand topspin? cause mine is sucking atm lol.

Hi Matt,

The flat fingers helps with control, so if it is control you are after this may help.  The curled finger helps with being able to use your wrist.

You can of course change during play depending on what you are doing.  You can serve with curled fingers and hit forehands with flat fingers.

Give it ia try.
