Pendulum Serve

Serving

Hi Alois,

I noticed that when I do my pendulum serve, it always ends up being a long serve. I cannot get it to bounce twice on the opponent's side.  When I try to reduce the power of my pendulum serve, it in turn reduces the spin. I realize that the solution might be to put more backspin on the ball, but I do not know how to do this.

Thanks,

Bp

Hi BP,

If you work on brushing the ball finer you will start to get the serve shorter.  The other thing is to work on keeping the ball lower over the net.  It makes a big difference in keeping the serve shorter.
