I am wanting to know the differences in paddle rubbers and what advantages they bring such as ones with long or short pips, or if they are sticky and where are good places to purchase new ones.

Hi Damian,

There are literally hundreds of options out there.

The first thing is to watch the Choosing a Table Tennis Bat.

The short pimples give you more control but are more difficult to generate spin with.

Long pimples tend to negater the effect of spin and revers the spin on the ball coming to to you.

There are a lot of reputable equipment companies out there and don't tend to recommend any.
