Strategy
when iam training i hit forehand and backhand very good but at matches i am fearing from attack and i play a chop.
how can i overcome that and play more aggressive?
Hi Mido,
In training, set up some practice games and in these games focus on attacking on every opportunity. Then you can start to use your attack in real matches where the result doesn't matter too much. Focus on the techniques and you will start to be able to use it in matches.
It is a matter of changing your mindset on focusing on the result to focusing on technique and improvement.
Use a long push or a flick to open up the game against someone who is beating you at the short game. It might not be your favourite way to play but if you are losing the short game you need to mix things up. In the long run you certainly need to improve your own short game.

Sometimes part of the problem is that in training your opponent tends to hit more blocks and topspin so it's easier to hit topspin back. You have to ensure that in traininig, the opponent is feeding you the type of balls you are likely to face in a real match. Also, try to attack early in a rally (such as third ball kills) because the more you push the harder it becomes to attack. It is really hard to change the mindset once you get bogged down in long pushing rallies.
