Strategy
Hey,
During training, my coach tells me to turn my hips and shoulders for my forehand, get down nice and low when topspinning against backspin etc...
But I'm finding trouble doing this during a match. I don't know where the ball is going to go, and the shots can hit quite fast. I often don't have enough time, and end up with an awkward and shorter stroke.
Is this normal?
Thanks.
Hi Johnny,
This is completely normal.
In training start to do some more random drills where you don’t know where the ball is coming so that you also need to react to where the ball is coming.
In time this will improve.
