Normal to Carbon - Should I make the jump

Today, I got a carbon-type blade from a friend. He said that I should use the carbon blade to make my game a little faster. I'm not sure if I'm ready for such a fast blade. It could improve my game or break it.

Should I use the carbon blade? (Oh yeah, will the carbon blade increase spin? My friend says so)

Hi Romeo,

Just see what you are comfortable with.  It is purely a personal preference on this one.  Perhaps give it a try and see what it feels like for you.

Depending on the carbon blade it may be faster.

I see. I'll glue my rubbers to the carbon blade and I'll see how it goes. smile Thanks!

I just got home after playing a few matches with this new bat. I have to admit, it is slightly harder for me to keep the ball in the table, but in the end I could feel it make my shots faster, especially my smash. I'm glad I changed from normal to carbon. Thanks! smile
