Hi Alois and Pingskills

i was wondering, why a player that has a bad technique, for example a bad loopspin, a bad block or a very bad footwork, can win to other that has a correct technique in general? The technique allows to you win matches or just is how you propose the game?

Thanks

Hi Cristh,

A player with a good technique has the potential to reach the highest level possible.  If you have poor technique there will be a ceiling that you will find it very difficult to break through.  That is why it is important when you are learning the game to focus on good technique to give yourself the best chance of reaching your potential.

That doesn't mean that if you have better technique than someone else you will beat them.  That is OK for judgemental technique sports like Gymnastics or Diving but not Table Tennis.  It helps to make our game even more interesting.
