Hi George,

Sounds like you love your table tennis.

I think to start with it is important to develop good basic strokes. When you are a little more developed it is good to have a few things that you do differently but you still need to stick with the basic principles.

As far as you serve is concerned work hard on trying to get lots of spin. Then you can look at developing variation.  Having a few good serves with a lot of different variations is the best way to go.

Pingskills is in the process of making their new DVD, Serving Secrets Revealed. If you pre-order it now you will get it cheaper. This will take your serves to another level.

#42 - Study Your Opponent

This is the second training plan focusing on match strategy. Last week we looked at your strengths and building a game around that. This week you should examine one of your competitors and pick out their weaknesses. Then you can design some training drills to expose those weaknesses. By doing this you'll be able to exploit them in a match situation and win points more easily.
