Hi sir

In a rally I always set the position at middle of the ball such like when my opponent hit the ball I come at the middle of the ball to receive it and I fail to receive it because it comes so fast and my hand position is like forehand so how to improve it.

Thanks

Hi Nazeer,

Try to have your ready position more to the backhand side if you are getting ready for the forehand.

We often do this if we favour one side.  It sounds like you might have a stronger forehand so you move a little to favour that side.

Forehand Counterhit

The forehand counterhit or forehand drive is the foundation for more attacking strokes such as the forehand topspin or forehand loop. There are 3 critical factors:

  1. Your feet position
  2. Your start position
  3. Your finish position

If you concentrate on these 3 factors then your stroke will become extremely consistent. Once you can reliably hit 100 balls in a row then you are ready for more attacking strokes. If you can hit 1,000 balls on in a row then you know you've truly mastered the stroke.
