Hi Minato,

Welcome to PingSkills. I'm glad you are enjoying the site. Are you wanting to get sidespin on your serves or your strokes. It is a good idea to learn how to serve with sidespin. To do this you need to brush on the side of the ball. A good serve to start with is the Tomahawk serve as it is a fairly natural action to get plenty of sidespin.

When you are playing strokes, you can add sidespin but it is a bit more risky. To start with you are better off learning how to play the standard strokes. Once you get better you can play the Sidespin Forehand Topspin.

I agree with Jeff.  Work on the basic topspins first.  Trying to play a shot like Maze does here takes 10 years of training to be able to implement it successfully in a match situation like this.

Work hard on the basics first then you can watch the lesson that Jeff suggested and work on the principles of the sidespin topspin.
