Dear Alois,

I was watching your comments to the game

Carter v Kek

and you repeatedly suggested that Carter should have played his backhand topspin more often, since it was indeed his best shot.

I think I'm pretty good with my backhand too (not as devastating as Carter, though); is there any suggestions on how to induce my opponent to play on my backhand side more often?

Thanks

Salvatore

Hi Salvatore,

One way is to play the first ball more to their backhand area.  This will give them the natural angle to play to your backhand side.

Also move your self more to the middle of the table so that you are covering more of the table with your backhand side.
