I saw ma Lin chance his penhold grip to shake hand grip when he smash really hard when zhang Ji ke lob really high. So my question is can Ma Lin do that?

Hi Chris,

I have seen him do this.  I think on this really high ball he feels more comfortable with the shakehand grip.

You are allowed to change grips.  In fact there are no rules as to grips so you can hold the racket any way that you want.  The two grips that we show you are grips that are the best ways for you to improve your technique and to reach the highest level possible.
