LP wobbling

Strategy

Hi, Alois

First of all, you were absolutely right. Wobbling is possible with my rubber, but, I wasn't hitting straight flat, and not powerful enough. You really have to hit it hard, and being so light, with killed spin, the ball wobbles. I created wobbling even with backspin ball, although, I sometimes hit too strong and sent it over the table.

Now, when I have different options, like: wobbling, spin reversal, how to use those effects in the match? What to use more, what less, and most important, when to use them, timing is my concern here. Thank you once more, I finally got it as far as wobbling is concerned.

Hi Sasha,

Good to hear you are getting the effect of wobbling.

You now need to think about each opponent you play and what they like and don't like.  You also need to think about which type of ball sets you up to win points with your favourite shots.

This strategy may vary for each opponent.  With your new skills you have extra options to use.  You now need to use them often in matches and see what works best for you.

For example your opponent may have a strong forehand attack against the slower wobbling ball but may not be able to cope with it deep on their backhand side.  Some players may just not like the long pimple effect at all so you can use the pimples often and to different areas.

Work hard now to utilise the effects you can get.
