Long pimples and short pimples

Can you tell me what is short and long pimples exactly mean?

These are types of rubber. As the names imply, long pimples has long pimples and short pimples has short pimples. You can also get normal (also known as inverted rubber) and anti-spin.

The various types of rubbers all have different effects on the ball when playing your strokes. Each type of rubber reacts differently when a spinning ball hit them. This is partly due to the different friction levels.

The friction levels from highest to lowest are:

1. Normal
2. Short pimples
3. Long pimples
4. Anti spin
