Hi

I use penhold grip. I have watched the lesson, but it is all about the shakehand grip. So is it the way to practise and the action of shakehand grip also same as penhold grip ?Do you have any lesson that is about the penhold grip?

The strokes for the penhold grip are similar to shakehand.  This is especially true for the forehand and the reverse backhand.  The main difference is with the backhand block or punch.  This stroke is more of a punching action.  Think you are punching someone straight in front of you.

Letr me know if you need further help with this.

Thanks. But what is reverse backhand? it is using the backhand to produce topspin? i still got one queston. You said the backhand counterhit is like punching someone, but what is the start and finish position? does it also must be at 90 degree at start position which is the same as the shakehand grip?

The reverse backhand is where you use the other side of your bat to play an attacking stroke. The start position for the normal backhand is 90 degrees and it comes straight out and finishes with your arm extended and your bat can stay at 90 degrees. The stroke is very flat. To do a topspin stroke with this side of the bat you need to hit the ball from outside your left hip like a lot of the Korean players.
