Is a blade from a premade bat legal for tournament use?
Hi Scott,
Blades don't need to be approved so as long as they are mainly wood then they are OK to use. There aren't the rules around blades as compared to rubbers.
Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.

Is uneven edges of rubbers a problem in tournaments? are there rules regarding that?
Use the surface odd the rubber should be even. If there are big chips out off the edges the referee may disallow you from using it.
