Lefty Screwball

Strokes

Hi Alex and Jeff,

I've really enjoyed the you tube and your website on table tennis. My question is this: As a lefty I've seen you hit a forehand and forehand smash with a curve to the right side of the table. Can you do a curve (screwball) to the left side with a forehand? What about a backhand smash screwball?

I've learned a lot in rules, skills and footwork with your "Ask the Coach" and hope you continue doing them. Its great to see a Lefty do the techniques as most of the players are righty's and I have trouble relating to those.

Thank you so much.

Rex

Hi Rex,

Thanks for the kind words about the site.

You can do a screwball to the left as well.  Take a look at the lesson we have on the Sidespin Forehand Topspin.  You need to lift the end of your racket up higher to get that curve.
