Serving
For some reason backhand serves have almost vanished, at least, from the professional players repertoire of serves.
Can any of you, Alois or Jeff, make a demonstration of the same serve but from the backhand?
Eduardo.
Hi Eduardo,
One of the biggest part of the Forehand Kicker serve is that the opponent can't see the preparation of the racket because it is behind the body. With the Backhand serve you wouldn't be able to do that and the is why it is not a popular serve.
Without the deception it is just a fast topspin serve which is easy to deal with.
