Serving
When I give my opponent a surprise by changing from pendulum service to a long fast service (cross-court/down-the-line/whatever), should I do the kick service, which we hold the bat vertically, or the topspin service, which we hold the back horizontally? I was having trouble deciding which would be a better surprise.
Hi Ryan,
Any surprise serve can be good as long as it really is a surprise for your opponent. For each player and for each situation, the serves that are effective can change.
I like that you are thinking about the serves and trying to do innovative things.
