Dear PingSkills,

After we purchase a rubber in a package, is it ok to keep it for a few months to a year before gluing to the blade? Will the quality of the rubber decrease after keeping it for so long? Thanks.

Regards,

Kenneth

Hi Kenneth,

If you store the rubber in a cool dark place and still in its packet it will last well over a year.

I have had rubber for several years stored in these conditions, that are still in perfect condition.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
