Hi Arnoldas,

There is a list of approved rubber on the ITTF website.  This gives you a comprehensive list of all the rubbers that are approved.

Go to http://www.ittf.com/_front_page/ittf1.asp?category=rubber where they have their list.

It is important to check this before you purchase a rubber.  You will notice that there are literally hundreds of approved rubbers.

Hi Yasir,

Unfortunately no, because sometimes the rubber is later banned after it is manufactured.  It is OK in 99% of cases but not always.  In International matches the umpire will check for the logo but if they don't know the rubber from before, they will also have the list of rubbers there to check it.  The other thing to check is the type of sponge with it.  The rubber are approved specifically with a type of sponge that can't be altered.

The blade doesn't need to be approved.  The regulations just state:

2.04.01  The racket may be of any size, shape or weight but the blade shall be flat and rigid.
2.04.02  At least 85% of the blade by thickness shall be of natural wood; an adhesive layer within the blade may be reinforced with fibrous material such as carbon fibre, glass fibre or compressed paper, but shall not be thicker than 7.5% of the total thickness or 0.35mm, whichever is the smaller.
