Is it alright to clean brand new rubber

I just got a brand new bat and there's quite a bit of dust on it. Not alot of dust, but just enough that it gives me the urge to clean it. Should I clean it or should I just leave it? I won't be using it for the next 3 weeks from now, so I'm quite skeptical. What should I do?

Hi Jack,
It is important to keep the rubber clean, even when it is new. Just wipe the dust off with a damp sponge.
